The Brightside Media story begins with our founder Jamie Everson who saw a gap for quality business online advertising and with her vision Brightside Media was brought to life in April 2016. Since then Brightside media has been working alongside hundreds of businesses across New Zealand consulting, creating, designing and delivering key business services to thrive in the online world. In 2020 Joel Everson joined the business where it has continued to grow and thrive beyond expectations of the vision Jamie had as a pipeline dream more than a decade ago as the online business world has evolved. Joel and Jamie are trustworthy, skilled professional business online experts and have your business needs at the forefront of what they do.

Our Secret Ingredient
Jamie and Joel are siblings born in Wellington and in 2020 Joel joined Jamie at Brightside Media. Their close friendship and strong family values is undeniably the secret ingredient and heart of Brightside Media. Growing up in a two-generation family owned repair shop they learnt the value of hard work from a young age and the importance of teamwork and business reputation that can only be built on strong values and a customer centred focus. They dreamed of building their own family business where they could work alongside each other creating a fun creative environment while doing something they were good at that would bring success to others.
Central to their motivation is to inspire the next generation in the family with the pair conscious of their own legacy’s which motivates their future focussed outlook. They share the same professional ethics and business vision making them a dream team. With Jamie based in the North Island and Joel in the South Island together they have quite a reach.

Jamie is founder and creative director of Brightside Media. Jamie has an extensive background in online marketing with an in-depth knowledge of consumer psychology, these combined with her proven creative marketing concepts, Jamie delivers powerful results.
Jamie’s intuition built on years of experience and training sees her thrive in supporting her clients realise their business potentials, delivering results while aiming for the “above expectation” client experience. Jamie has more than a decade of experience under her belt in the online marketing industry working as a business consultant, social media expert and in sales and marketing in Indonesia, Australia and the UK. Jamie has specialist business marketing skills with a passion to see small medium businesses succeed and thrive online.

Joel Everson
Joel comes from a professional sporting background, recently returning to his home city Christchurch, after years of living and working in overseas. Joel’s life direction and passion was realised in Brightside Media when the ultimate opportunity came to work alongside his best friend and sister, putting to use his formal university education in Business Studies. Joel understands the core functions of how businesses work, providing reliable insights on branding, design and product imaging.
Joel shares in Brightside Media’s passion and vision on to empower customers in making their business ideas become a successful and lucrative reality. Our customers have loved working alongside Joel with his client centered focus, friendly down to earth nature, and business expertise.
